Alfred Shrubb, the famous English Athlete, who has just shown phenomenal speed in a 12 mile race at New york, beating three "relays" of the fastest men in America with the greatest ease. During the race he covered many a hundred yards in less than 12 seconds. His total time was 1 hr. 5 min. 57 secs.
